The following day, Republic Day celebrations are marked by a lot of parades not only in New Delhi, the country capital but also in the various states. In Rajasthan too a lot of celebrations take place. Many Indians sacrificed their lives not only to gain independence from foreign yoke but also to protect that independence. The celebrations begin remembering the sacrifices made by these valiant men. Medals are awarded to those from the armed forces who have displayed their valor in the battlefield by the state chief minister.
