Day 01 / Arrival Delhi

Day 02 / Delhi

OLD DELHI - A sight-seeing tour of Old Delhi would
entail visiting:-
Red Fort - The red sandstone walls of Lal Qila,
the Red Fort, extend for two km and vary in height
from 18 metres on the river side to 33 metres
on the city side. Shah Jahan started construction
of the massive fort in 1638 and it was completed
in 1648. Jama Masjid - Jama Masjid The splendid
mosque built by Muhammad Ali Shah in the typical
Mughal style with two minarets and three domes,
lies to the west of the Hussainabad Imambara,
Raj Ghat - the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi
was cremated.
NEW DELHI - An extensive sight-seeing tour of
New Delhi would include a visit:-
Humayun's Tomb - Built in the mid 16th century
by Haji Begum, senior wife of Humayun, the second
Mughal emperor, Humayun's Tomb is an early example
of Mughal architecture built in Delhi. Qutub Minar
- 13 km to the south of Connaught Circus at Lalkote
of 8th century Tomor Rajputs, the 72.5 m high
Victory Pillar stands as a victory stand of a
Muslim King Kutub-ud-din-Aibak in India, a drive
along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath, past the
imposing India Gate, Parliament House, the President's
Residence, Lotus Temple and would end with a drive
through the Diplomatic Enclave. Overnight at Delhi

Day 03 / Delhi - Agra - Jaipur ( By train
and Car )
Early morning pick up from hotel & transfer
to railway station to board the superfast airconditioned
Shatabdi Express train to Agra. Breakfast in the
train ,Arrive Agra in approx. 02 hours & visit
the magnificient Tajmahal – A white marble
Tomb building 1631 – 1648 in Agra, seat
of the Mughal Empire by Shah Jahan for his wife,
Arjuman Banu Begum, the monument sums up many
of the formal themes that have played through
Islamic architecture. Its refined elegance is
a conspicuous contrast both to the Hindu architecture
of pre – Islamic India, with its thick walls,
corbelled arches and heavy lintels and to the
Indo Islamic styles, in which Hindu elements are
combined with an electric assortment of motifs
from Persian and Turkish sources. After lunch
drive to Jaipur enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri
– The Imperial city of the Mughal dynasty.
It is very difficult to express the architectural
grandeur city as one can only experience the aura
of these forts. Famously known as the city of
Ghosts, it was built by the great Mughal Emperor.

Day 04 / Jaipur
Breakfast in Hotel, after breakfast proceed for
sightseeing, The Amber Fort set in picturesque
and rugged hills is a fascinating blend of Mughal
Architecture, construct by Raja Mann Singh in
1592 and completed by Swai Jai Singh, the fort
is made in red sand stone and white marble. The
rugged forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise
with a beautiful of art and architecture. Amber
Fort is the classic and romantic fort palace with
a magnificent aura. City Palace - A delightful
blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture,
the City Palace sprawls over one-seventh of the
area in the walled city. It houses the Chandra
Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace
Museum. Jantar Mantar - This is the largest and
the best preserved of the five observatories built
by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country.
This observatory consisting of outsized astronomical
instruments is still in use. Hawa Mahal - The
ornamental facade of this "Palace of Winds"
is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Their five-storey
structures of sandstone plastered pink encrusted
with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies.
The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in
1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand
for the palace women.

Day 05 / Jaipur - Bombay - Trivendrum
Chek out from hotel after leisurely breakfast
and transfer to airport to board the flight for
Trivendrum via Bombay. Arrive Trivandrum, meet
assist at the airport by our tour executive and
then transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free
at leisure. Overnight at Trivendrum hotel.
Day 06 / Trivandrum
After breakfast sightseeing of Trivandrum including
excursion to Kanyakumari. Kuthirarnalika (Puthenmalika)
Palace Museum Open 0830 - 1230 hrs and 1530 -
1730 hrs. Closed on Mondays. The Palace was built
by the King of Travancore, who was a great poet,
musician, social reformer and statesman. This
rare specimen of workmanship in the traditional
Travancore style of architecture also has exquisite
woodcarvings and displays paintings and various
priceless collections of the royal family. It
is located near the Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple.
Lord Ganapathy Temple is one of the most popular
shrines in the city near Sri Padmanabha Swamy
Temple at the East Fort. Napier Museum (Museum
Complex) Open 1000 - 1700 hrs. Closed on Mondays
and Wednesday mornings Built in the 19th century,
the Indo - Saracenic structure boasts a "natural"
air conditioning system and houses a rare collection
of archaeological and historic artefacts, bronze
idols, ancient ornaments, a temple chariot and
ivory carvings. Interestingly the use of plastic
is banned in the museum premises. The evening
is free to relax on the Beach. Overnight at Trivandrum
hotel.
Day 07 / Trivandrum - Alleppey
After leisurely breakfast in hotel drive to Alleppey
(165 kms). Arrive Alleppey & transfer to (House
Boat) Kettuvallam. Experience stay on Indian cruise,
night stay at house boat.
Day 08 / Alleppey - Kumarakom
After leisurely breakfast on house boat check
out from house boat at Kumarakom and transfer
to the backwater resort. Day free at leisure.
Overnight at Kumarakom hotel.
Day 09 / Kumarakom - Cochin
After leisurely breakfast in back water resort
drive to cochin which is 75 kms. from Kumarakom.
On arrival transfer to hotel. Later proceed for
sightseeing tour, Bolghatty Palace situated on
Boghatty Island, a narrow palm-fringed island
easily accessible from the mainland. The Palace
was built by the Dutch in 1744 and later became
the seat of the British Resident. Today this has
been converted into a hotel and is a popular place
to stay. Chennamangalam About 4km from Parur,
houses the oldest synagogue in Kerala. There is
also a Jesuit Church and ruins of a Jesuit College.
One can also walk to the Hindu Temple overlooking
river Periyar, a 16th-century mosque, as well
as burial grounds. Chinese Fishing Nets The Chinese
fishing nets that line the sea-front and exhibit
a mechanical method of catching fish by local
fishermen in Fort Kochi are said to have been
brought from China by traders of Kubalai Khan's
Court, many years ago and are still used today
at high tide. Chottanikkara Temple Numerous stories
attest to the early history of this 10th century
temple, where tormented devotees found solace
in the diety, Bhagavathi. Today it remains one
of the most popular pilgrim sites in Kerala. Return
to hotel rest of the day free/ shopping at Ernakulam.

Day 10/ Cochin - Departure
After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer
to airport to board flight for onward journey
