After leisurely breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi where ornate buildings recall the days when India was the Jewel in the crown of the British empire. From Tehri the road begins to rise, winding its way along the Bhagirathi and passing through a fertile valley studded with patches of trees and clusters of small houses. Here the Khuromla meets the Bhagirathi and the roads to Uttarkhashi and Gangotri trails its way along the banks of the Bhagirathi.
UTTARKASHI : On the banks of the Bhagirathi, surrounded by the rivers Varuna and Assi, this sacred fast developing town is the capital of the newly constituted western most district of the UTTARKHAND.

Day 08 / Harsil - Gangotri (3200 m) By Cycle
GANGOTRI beyond the gorge where the Jadh Ganga meets the Bhagirathi, heralding the approach of the Gangotri temple, the narrow, Bhagirathi revine, dramatic and beautifully wooded, opens out into the Goddess Ganga stands on the right bank simple, but dignified in the valley of the gods surrounded by the majesty of the mountains, the beauty of nature .
